SAUTER eValveco: Simple control of heating, cooling and hydraulic balancing

The SAUTER eValveco system is used for real-time flow regulation and automatic hydronic balancing in fully or partially loaded zones. It therefore replaces a static balancing valve and a regulating/mixing valve or ball valve. The dynamic flow regulating system with a 2-, 3- or 6-way ball valve is used in HVAC systems with variable flow rate.

Perfect synergy

Together with the 6-way ball valve, the SAUTER eValveco flow system provides a precise solution for regulating heated and chilled ceilings, VAV systems and fan coils supplied by a 4-pipe system.

SAUTER eValveco combines the five functions of a pressure independent regulating valve (PICV), 6-way ball valve for the switch-over function (heating/cooling), balancing valve and motorised cut-off valve.

The electronic flow control valve regulates the volume flow independent of pressure fluctuations in the system. The system is designed for automatic and dynamic hydronic balancing in real-time, therefore making additional balancing valves superfluous. This is how the system maintains a perfect, hydronic balance in the hydronic network without additional components in both fully or partially loaded zones.

It ensures that the exact rate of energy is distributed to the right place at the right time – for maximum comfort at minimal energy costs.

Clear and convenient

The flow control system communicates via Modbus – when combined with a building management system such as the SAUTER Vision Center building management software, for example, this allows overviews of the actual energy consumption to be created for each room in real time and controlled on a computer, tablet or mobile phone. »

SAUTER Head Office was the target of a cyber security incident on November 20, 2024. SAUTER’s IT department immediately activated, well defined, internal emergency plans. All IT systems were completely isolated and shut down to successfully prevent the attack from spreading. External cybersecurity experts and data forensics specialists then began to check all systems and restore them securely. This process is unfortunately time-consuming, but absolutely necessary to ensure that the cyber-attack does not continue at a later date.

The SAUTER websites have been affected by the emergency operation and are available again with immediate effect.

There are currently no concrete indications that our customers' infrastructures have been compromised in any way by SAUTER devices. It appears to be an opportunistic incident with no clearly recognisable long-term goals or systematic attacks. The situation does not currently suggest that there is a targeted, sustained threat to the affected systems.
