Certification

Certificates and awards give the customer security and a means of making comparisons.

Our head office in Basel is where the SAUTER Group Executive Board sits, and is also a development and production site. Because SAUTER places great emphasis on controlled processes, the integrated management system is based on quality management as per ISO 9001; it also meets the requirements of environmental management according to ISO 14001, and occupational safety and health management as per ISO 45001.
  • The management system is certified and forms the basis for the country-specific certification of all SAUTER companies.
  • The system secures knowledge and expertise and contributes to reducing risks.
  • Laws and standards for quality, environmental and work safety management are fulfilled.

With SAUTER into Green Building

SAUTER products, solutions and services in building management have been certified and given awards many times. Our product range fulfils the requirements for obtaining the Green Building certificates. SAUTER is IQNet-certified, and certain products have the BACnet Test Laboratory (BTL) quality seal. This guarantees quality, precision and functionality.

Our BTL-certified products are:

AMEV certificate for SAUTER room automation stations

The three (room) automation stations of the SAUTER EY-modulo family of systems received the certificate for the AS-A profile of the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Working Party of National, Regional and Local Authorities (AMEV). The AMEV certificate is decisive on the German market, especially for the public tender offers of state and municipal administrations. It gives the customer a guarantee that the product fulfils the detailed requirements for its use on the German market. The current AMEV recommendation combines the BACnet 2007 recommendation and the existing recommendations, and also takes DIN EN ISO 16484-5 into account.

SAUTER Head Office was the target of a cyber security incident on November 20, 2024. SAUTER’s IT department immediately activated, well defined, internal emergency plans. All IT systems were completely isolated and shut down to successfully prevent the attack from spreading. External cybersecurity experts and data forensics specialists then began to check all systems and restore them securely. This process is unfortunately time-consuming, but absolutely necessary to ensure that the cyber-attack does not continue at a later date.

The SAUTER websites have been affected by the emergency operation and are available again with immediate effect.

There are currently no concrete indications that our customers' infrastructures have been compromised in any way by SAUTER devices. It appears to be an opportunistic incident with no clearly recognisable long-term goals or systematic attacks. The situation does not currently suggest that there is a targeted, sustained threat to the affected systems.
